And verily, We sent Nuh to his people, and he remained among them a thousand year(s), save fifty year(s), then seized them the flood, while they (were) wrongdoers.
View 80 More Translations ↓And, indeed, [in times long past] We sent forth Noah unto his people, and he dwelt among them a thousand years bar fifty; and then the floods overwhelmed them while they were still lost in evildoing
Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, and he tarried among them a thousand years, all but fifty; so the Flood seized them, while they were evildoers
We (once) sent Noah to his people, and he tarried among them a thousand years less fifty: but the Deluge overwhelmed them while they (persisted in) sin
وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦ فَلَبِثَ فِیهِمۡ أَلۡفَ سَنَةٍ إِلَّا خَمۡسِینَ عَامࣰا فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلطُّوفَانُ وَهُمۡ ظَـٰلِمُونَ ١٤
walaqad arsalnā nūḥan ilā qawmihi falabitha fīhim alfa sanatin illā khamsīna ʿāman fa-akhadhahumu l-ṭūfānu wahum ẓālimūn
